The Ambassadors have been doing a GREAT job planning, organizing and will be volunteering to run the store gaining experience not just in entrepreneurship, but also the spirit of community. Proceeds will go directly back to Horace Mann for all students to enjoy school celebrations.
This week is the perfect opportunity to say 'THANK YOU!' Thank you for your generosity that allowed us to build the new Environmental Learning Center out at the Wausau School Forest.
Wausau School District teacher Rob Hughes did it again! With YOUR help, more than 900 turkeys and hams to 25 Wausau, Newman, and D.C. Everest schools as part of the 2023 Wausau Area Food for Hope Turkey Drive! Since the start of the project 8 years ago, more than $80,000 has been raised for kids in our community! How wonderful is that?!
The Lumberjack Swim Team from East High has two individual events and two relays headed to State!
Congratulations to Ella Wendling, a junior from West High, who will represent the USA in mixed doubles at the Youth Olympic Games in South Korea!
"When I was growing up, there were times when my family went to the Waukesha food pantries and churches for food donations. The kindness of strangers helped us out and left a lifelong impression on me. Now we get to be those kind strangers," said Hughes.
